Possible Lost Cats In Central Park

So it seems that Cimbi is not the only cat who likes to go to the park.

I saw two cats, both black and white, one with a red collar, near the Harlem Meer on the North end of Central Park today, April 29th, around 1pm. The cats did not let me get too close to them.

I have a close-up, as best as I could get with my zoom, after the jump.

If the cats somehow escaped their home, I hope that they return.

If their human lets them come and go at their discretion, as the photo below shows someone on 119th does, I want to say that this is a very bad practice.

Even if one thinks that their cat will not end up in the pound should they have a collar and tag, there are still the chances for fights with strays, being run over in the street, and any number of situations cats can get themselves into.
